It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 Richard (Ricky) Lewis, aged 43 years of Conception Harbour. Predeceased by his mother Beverly (Tootsie), grandparents: Moses and Bridget Lewis and Cyril and Beth Moore, uncle Jerry Lewis and aunt Nellie Lewis. Left with fond and loving memories are his family, his pride and joy son Cameron (mother Patti Jo Hamlyn), his father Joe, siblings: Bob (Sarah), Tina, (Joey Cole), Joey (Connie Kelloway). Uncle Ricky will be forever missed by his nieces and nephews: Joshua, Jordan, Jayda and Anna. Also leaving to mourn are the Lewis and Moore families: Ron, Kevin (Christine), Kay, Benny (Maxine), Theresa (Gerard Hefferan), Gene (Lillian), Paul (Phyllis), Lorraine (Leo Conway), Linda (John Gushue), Bill (Doreen), Brenda (Jerome Flaherty), Peggy (Anthony Scimone), Joe (Joanne), Terry (Margaret) and Bob (Bridget) as well as numerous cousins. Left also to celebrate his life are a large circle of extended family and friends including his brothers and sisters of the Ironworkers Union Local 764. Ricky’s devotion as a father, his commitment and pride to his trade, his smile and generosity will never be forgotten. Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation will take place on Friday from 1-9 pm. Funeral will take place on Saturday, April 14, 2018 with 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial from Assumption Church, Avondale. Cremation to follow with Inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in trust of Cameron Lewis at the Royal Bank of Canada, Holyrood Branch or emttrustfundcameronlewis@outlook.com.
