PARRSBORO – Verlie E. Pettigrew, 87, of Harrison Settlement passed away Friday April 20, 2018 at South Cumberland Community Care Center, Parrsboro.
Born in Liscomb Mills, Guysborough County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Odessa Odean (Tibert ) Winters.
Verlie’s life centered around her family, no matter what, she put her family first, she enjoyed camping, quilting and giving hugs.
She is survived by her husband Ernest, daughters Millie Pettigrew (Damien Dunn), Stellarton, Rose MacAloney, Jasper; a son Angus, Parrsboro. Brothers Leonard (Karen) and Russell both of Ontario. Six Grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren, A son in law Cyril Mosher, Half Way River.
She was pre deceased by daughter Donna Mosher, granddaughters Debbie and Donna, Brothers Roland and Elmore. V
Visitation took place Sunday, 6-8 at Smith’s Funeral Home Parrsboro, where service was held 2 pm Monday. Rev. Brock Shaver officiating, Burial in the West Brook Cemetery.
