With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Cyrus Arsenault aged 91 years, at La Villa Providence, Shediac, N.B. on April 21, 2018, of Balmoral, N.B. and originally from Urbainville, P.E.I. Born in Urbainville on April 2nd, 1927, he was the son of the late François (Frank) and Hortense Arsenault. Beloved husband of the late Thérèse (Bujold) Arsenault (d. February 23, 2018) of Balmoral, N.B. and her childrens Jean-Paul (Diane) of Balmoral, Laurina (Eddy) of Balmoral, Lise (Fernand) of Balmoral, André (Louise) of Edmonton, Nicole (Michael) of Shediac, Réjean (Rhea) of Balmoral, Louise of Dieppe, Line of Edmonton & Julie (Pierre) of Carleton. Cyrus is survived by his sisters and brother Sophie Richard (late Nazaire Richard) of Le Chez-Nous, Wellington, André Arsenault (late Bibianne Cabana) of Longueuil, Q.C. and Sr. Zita Arsenault c.s.c. of Montréal, Q.C., by a niece Zelma Richard and nephews Melvin Richard, Gérard Richard, Éric Richard and André Richard. He was predeceased his brother Leo in infancy. Cyrus was a farmer on his father's farm until the age of 68 years. When he sold the family farm, he took interest in taking bus-tours (across Canada and the US) where he met his loving wife Thérèse and were married in May 1999.They spent 19 happy years together. The Arsenault family will always be gratefull and extend their many thanks to the Bujold family for accepting Cyrus in your family for the last 19 years. Your love, care and actions for him will never be forgotten. May God Bless you all! Resting at the Évangéline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Friday, April 27th then to the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Church, Egmont Bay where funeral mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 26th from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, April 27th from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations in his memory to the Saint Philippe et Saint-Jacques Cemetery Fund, La Coopérative Le Chez-Nous Ltée. or an organization of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
