HILTZ, Basil Edward -89, of Lyons Brook, Pictou County, passed away April 25, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born on Cape John, he was a son of the late Wesley & Willa (Langille) Hiltz. Basil was a self employed trucker for almost 50 years. He loved camping and was also an avid hunter. He is survived by his daughter, Eva Baillie (Blaine Foote), Kenzieville; son, Doug Hiltz (Jennifer), Lyons Brook; grandsons, Jason (Jayme), Devin (Crystal), Jeffrey, Jordan; great-grandson, Silas; sisters, Leona, Mabel, Esther & Elsie; and brother, Russell; nieces and nephews. Basil was predeceased by his wife, Olive and brother, Carmen. Visitation will be held 1-2, with service to follow at 2:00 PM on Saturday from the McLaren Funeral Home, Chapel, Pictou.
