Passed peacefully away at the Doctor Walter Templeman Hospital Bell Island after a lengthy illness, Edward Joseph Lewis at the age of 65. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Mary Ann Lewis and brothers George and Robert and sister Madonna. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are four sisters; Florence (Gerald Lawrence), Bell Island, Mary (Con Picco), St. John’s, Linda, Bell Island, and Betty (Mike Boland) St. John’s. Three brothers; Thomas, Bell Island, Gerald, (Christine), St. John's, and Ralph, (Josephine), Bell Island. As well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Special thank you to all the Staff at the Bell Island hospital for their care and compassion during Eddy’s stay. Also a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Health Science Centre. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Pendergast’s Funeral Home, Bell Island on Monday, April 30th from 12:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral mass to take place on Tuesday, May 1st at 11:00 am at St. Michael's Church, Bell Island, with inurnment to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Bell Island. Flowers greatly accepted or donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
