We sadly announce the passing of Garrison Wilton ‘Aboo’ Poulette on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at his residence in Eskasoni. Born September 17, 1973, he was the son of Joanne and the late Francis Poulette.
Garrison enjoyed all sports and his favourite team was the Pittsburg Penguins. He had an excellent memory especially with statistics and numbers. He loved listening to music and going to concerts, spending time with his family, whom he loved very much. Being with people and his godchildren filled a big part of his life.
He is survived by his siblings, Bertram Joseph Gould (Kristen) and Frances Marie Joe; godfather, Howard Poulette; godchildren, Joanne Joe and Kendra; nieces and nephews, Blake, Krista, John James, Nilan, Jem, Tori, Delia, Elvis, Keith Jr., Paul, Alayah, Wilton, Bertram Jr., baby Tridyn, baby Dearah, baby Jordan, baby Elissa; aunts, Janet (John) Takata, Madeline, Margaret (Peter) Paul, Marie Bella, Mary Estelle, June Margaret, Rosie, Martha and Nancy; uncles, Levi Poulette, Ben (Bridget) Poulette, Maynard (Gina) Poulette, Oscar and Adam Gould.
He was predeceased by grandparents, Mary Rose and Joseph Gould, and Stephen and Madeline Poulette; godmother, Frances Battiste; brother, Harrison Gould; sister, Delia Marie; nephews, Bryan, Joseph, Gordon; aunt, Betty; uncles, Walter, David, Charlie, Milton Gould, John Gould, Francis Gould and James Gould.
Special thanks to his nephew/caretaker John James Joe and Homecare workers, who became his other family.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 3 at the Gabriel Center, Eskasoni. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 5 at Holy Family Church with Fr. Duncan MacIsaac officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
