Age 85 years
Passed peacefully away at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. Predeceased by her husband, Leo (2007), and her parents, Solomon and Ethel Vokey, brothers, Nathan and Randell, sister, Myra and her twin sister, Jean. She leaves with fond and loving memories her children, Marilyn (Bill) Follett, Beverly (Eric) Bussey, and Clyde (Elizabeth) Green; grandchildren, Craig and Sarah Jane Follett, Jason and Erica Bussey, and Jennifer, Gordon and Gary Green; sister Ruby (Wilfred) Rees; brother-in-law Jim Sullivan; sisters-in-law Sharon (Harold) Bussey and Gail Green, special friend, Ruby Abbott, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends. Special thank you to Dr. Patrick O’Shea and caregivers, Sue, Johanne and Paska for the compassion and comfort they showed our mother. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd, St. John’s on Saturday and Sunday, May 5th and 6th, 10 am - 9 pm. Flowers are welcomed, or donations may be made in Cavell’s memory to the Anglican Cathedral Choral Fund. Funeral Service will be held from the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist Monday May 7th, 2018 at 11am, with interment at the Anglican Cemetery on Forest Road.
