WARNING, Robert Lyn – 69, Masstown. With a heavy heart, the family of Robert Lyn Warning announces the sudden passing of a gentle giant at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Robert (or Bob/Rob as he was known by those in his life) was born in Galt, Ontario, and was predeceased by parents, Fredrick Earl and Alice Patricia (Wade), as well as wife, Margaret Anne (Kingston). The big man with an even bigger heart is lovingly remembered by daughter, Sarah (Bob) Morrison; grandson, Hudson; previous wife Kathleen Wellsman; their daughter, Sherry (Jerry) Thorpe; granddaughter, Katie-Sue (Chris) Meyer, great-grandson, Benjamin Robert; grandson, Randy (Aeriel) Thorpe; brothers, Edward (Sue) and Doug (Evelyn) Warning; sister, Kim (Al) Wareham; long-time partner, Lynda Stevenson; her son, Mark; Bob’s many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends. Bob was an imposing figure in the best possible way. Those who met him learned quickly that he always had the best interests of others at heart. He was a diligent father, a loving partner, a trustworthy and loyal co-worker to “The Boys at The Tower” (Canadian General Tower) with whom Bob worked for 40 years, and a best friend to all. His family will hold a gathering at his residence at 648 Shore Road, Masstown, from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, May 6, 2018. Donations in Bob’s memory can be made to Landsdowne Children’s Centre, Brantford, Ontario, or a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the staff of the Emergency and Intensive Care Unit of the Colchester East Hants Health Centre for their outstanding empathy and humanity during this difficult time.
