Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in the presence of his loving family, Val McGrath, retired long-time employee of the Newfoundland Telephone Company, age 88 years. Predeceased by his wife Nellie, son Vaughn, parents Catherine and Thomas, brothers Jack, Jim and Bill; sisters Mary, Kay and Lol. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Mike (Regina), daughter Karen Jackman (Kenny), daughter-in-law Sandy McGrath, grandchildren whom he adored Nicole (Patrick), Adam and Andrew (Alison) McGrath, Dylan Jackman and Christopher and Laura McGrath; sisters-in-law Bridget and Tom Murphy and their children Angela (Jason and Elizabeth) and Rodney, Jane and Pat Kieley and their family; special niece Nancy Cook and family. Val loved the outdoors, hunting and spending time at his cabin. His love of duct tape and orange spray paint will always bring a smile to our faces. Cremation and private inurnment have already taken place.
