It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce her sudden passing at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on May 3, 2018, after a brief illness.
She was born in Sydney on October 18, 1971, and was the daughter of Margaret (Phil) LeBlanc and Sam (Eileen) Henderson.
Michelle is survived by her hubby and love of her life, Derrick Moore; her daughters, Leah (Matthew) and Kayla; grandchildren, Madison and Jesse; brother, Jack Henderson (Janine); sister, Brenda Billett (Brad); mother-in-law, Marilyn MacDonald (Kevin); sister-in-law, Lynette Douglas (Kenny); the MacDonald/Moore families; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins. Michelle will also be missed by her best friends, Corinnea, Wendy, Tracy and Joanne, and many more friends and coworkers.
Michelle was truly a beautiful, loving, and dedicated daughter, sister, mother, wife, nanny and friend who was always there for everyone, whether it was volunteering, selling tickets, organizing benefits, or just making a hot meal for someone. She worked at the Northside General Hospital in the M.D.R Dept. In previous years, Michelle worked at Tim Hortons and Kenny’s Pizza, where you would find her with a huge smile, and the amazing ability to remember the orders of regular customers. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family, whether it was gardening with her hubby, baking with the kids, singing Karaoke, playing cards, fishing, camping, girls night, road trips, and taking pictures. Michelle, you were truly an amazing person who loved to laugh, and touched so many lives. You will be forever loved and missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing you.
Michelle was predeceased by her grandparents, Jack and Dolly Henderson, Francis and Edwina LeBlanc; sister, Melinda (in infancy); grandmother-in-law, Theresa MacDonald; sister-in-law, Carol Richardson; and nephew, Asher Foley (in infancy).
Visitation will take place 12-3 p.m. Thursday in Chant’s Funeral Home followed with a time to celebrate her life in the chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant to officiate.
