It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Elizabeth Hounsell announce her passing at Corner Brook Long Term Care on May 7, 2018, at the age of 90 years. Dorothy leaves to mourn with many loving memories her daughters Judy (Myles) Vardy, and Brenda (Terry) Regular; her son Jim (Cathy); grandchildren Steven (Jaime), Paul (Lilly), Chris (Justine), and Jonathan (Stephanie); great-grandchildren William, Brooklyn, Ethan and Lydia; brothers George (Margaret) Batstone and Jim (Ange) Batstone; sister-in-law Emily Batstone plus many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Chesley; parents Kenneth and Selina Batstone; sisters Gertie, Doreen and Kathleen (Roy) Locke; brothers: Fred and Joe. Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday, May 9 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service take place at All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street on Thursday, May 10 at 2 p.m. with Archbishop Stewart Payne officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expression of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
