To know Tom ("Herky" or "Pops") is to know how much love he had for his family, friends and God. If you ever needed advice on quilting you could turn to him. Pops life was filled with so many travels from castles in Edinburgh to beaches in Cyprus. As a member of The Queens Own Rifles he brought his family from Germany to Calgary. He was the recipient of the Nobel Piece Prize as a Peace Keeper one of his best kept secrets. Herky grew up in Yarmouth and was an active member of St. Ambrose Parish, the Royal Canadian Legion, Live-In Society and the Knights of Columbus. He always said "there are no shortcuts in life" and he certainly never took shortcuts with his love and advice. May is the month of Mary and we know his devotion to the Holy Mother and her son Jesus is what comforted him in his last moments on earth. Thank you to all who supported him through this time. Please join us in celebrating his life. Visitation took place at H.M.
