Joan Sybil Stuart (nee Rockwell): Passed peacefully away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst on May 5, 2018, after a short illness, in her 88th year. Pre-deceased by her husband James V. (Bus) Stuart and her parents the late Dwight James and Jeanie Marie (Fales) Rockwell and brother Ronald J.
Left to mourn, sister-in-law Marguerite Read, Moncton, NB; nephews David (Catherine) of South Portland, ME, USA, and William (Melanie) Read of Moncton, NB. Also, her nieces Jo-Ann Clarke; Jillian Perry; Megan Lathrop; and families. Grieving Joan’s loss as well, are a large circle of friends and her card partners with the Monday Afternoon Bridge Club.
As per Joan’s wishes, her remains have been cremated. Because of her love of cats, donations in Joan’s memory may be made to the L.A. Animal Shelter.
There will be no visitation or funeral as per her wishes. Interment will be in the Amherst Cemetery at a later date.
