Ellsworth “Wayne” Cameron

The death occurred suddenly, with family at his side, on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, of Wayne Cameron, formerly of Hampshire, P.E.I., aged 73. Wayne is survived by his wife of 53 years, Eleanor Cameron (nee Thompson) and his children, Mildred Cudmore, Vonnie Whalen, John Cameron (Serena), Wynette Whalen (John), and Jeremy Cameron (Angela); his adored grandchildren, Kristopher, Alyson and Tyler Cudmore; Amanda, Lea-Anne and Brandon Whalen; Zachary and Cheyenne Cameron; Jessica and Alex Whalen; Gavin, Ethan and Ryder Cameron; and Great-grand-children, Addison, Brooke, Presley and Caprice. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Audrey MacDougall, Willena Stewart (Wilfred), Preston Cameron (Mary), Bill Cameron (Anne Turner), Wendell Cameron (Andre Cormier), Darlene Marshall (Gary Cudmore), Gail Langlois (Andre), Newton Farrow (Erin); sisters-in-law, Brenda Cameron-Waddell (Gordon), Heather Cameron, Donna Cameron, Ruth Thompson and numerous nephews and nieces. Wayne was predeceased by his mother and father, Will and Margaret Cameron; sister, Elaine Cameron; brothers, Neil and Ian Cameron; his Father and Mother-in-law Ralph and Mildred Thompson; son-in-law Paul Whalen; and brothers-in-law, Bruce MacDougall, Warren and Lawson Thompson. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Monday, May 14, 2018, from 6 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment in Hampshire Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired, donations in Wayne’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Hampshire Peoples Cemetery would be greatly appreciated.
