It is with broken hearts that her family announce her sudden passing on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Cape Breton Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Presque Isle, Maine, Carissa was the daughter of Wanda Mae LaBobe (Mario) and Leroy Martin.
Family was very important to Carissa she loved spending time with them. She enjoyed music and loved animals and enjoyed walking.
Left to mourn, besides her parents, are her precious children, Kaydence and Jepsen LaBobe, whom she loved and adored; brothers, Perry (Jenny), Preston (Charlene), Seth (Tabitha) LaBobe and Noah Martin; sister, Leurette LaBobe; grandmother, Jean LaBobe; godmother, Elizabeth Sock, and special aunt, Anna Paul. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Carissa was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Eddie LaBobe; paternal grandmother, Rebecca Martin, and godfather, Edward Sock.
Carissa will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at her mother’s residence 96 Tupsi Dr., Membertou. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church with Fr. Bill Burke officiating. Interment at Membertou Memorial Gardens. Salite to follow at MTCC.
