The death occurred peacefully with family by her side, at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, Charlottetown, on Monday, May 21, 2018, of Norma Gauthier (nee Doucette), beloved wife of Herbie Gauthier, of Rusticoville, aged 84. She was the loving mother of Kyra, Glenn (Shelley), Dana and Cindy Hillier (Keith); mother-in-law of Mary Gauthier; grandmother of Dan (Channy), Kandis (Shaun), Lori (Josh), Tyler (Sarah), Kyle (Chrissy), Bret (Mallory) and Brad (Blaire); and great-grandmother of Colby, Zoey, Amara, Grady, Kobalt, Brooklyn, Keifer, Kylie and Lexi. Norma is also survived by her sister, Gloria Pineau; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Ferdinand and Annie (Gallant) Doucette; son, Scott; sisters, Lorraine Lee and Germaine Buote; and brothers, Melvin Doucette and Merrill Doucette. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538, Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 6 to 9 p.m. The CWL will hold a prayer service prior to the visitation at 5:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 2 p.m. Please note time.
