It is with great sadness that the family of the late Margaret Gillam announce her passing at Corner Brook, Long Term Care on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the age of 87 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Melvina (Terry) Tracey, Anne (Roger) Lewis, Linda (Ben) MacConnell, and Dwayne (Carla) Gillam; grandchildren: Terry Tracey, Nikki Scanlon, Leslie Lewis, Victoria Lewis, Billie Jean Smith, Peggy McInnis, Lexi MacConnell, Chandler MacConnell, Zachary Gillam, Anna Gillam and great-grandchildren, brothers: Clarence (Agnes) Ryan of Ontario, Roy (Mabel) Ryan of Corner Brook, sisters: Shirley (Howard) MacDonald of Corner Brook, and Florence (Walter) Francis of Port Aux Basques. and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Cyril Benjamin Gillam, parents John Ryan and Margaret (Madore) Ryan, brothers: Raymond (Dorothy) Ryan, Roland (Alfreda) Ryan of Ontario, Clifford (Masie) Ryan of NL, John AKA Jack (Marjorie) Ryan, sisters Julia (Andrew) Wilsac, Rita (John) Locke, Marie (Bart) Callahan, and Irene (William) Tarbett. Friends my visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Thursday, May 24th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 25th at 2 p.m. from Humber United Church with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Humber United Church Memorial Fund.
