With sadness we, the family announce the passing of Donald William Worobel on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in a tragic house fire in Whitney Pier.
Born March 1, 1949, Donald was the son of the late William and Annie (Karyluk) Worobel.
Donald is survived by his sisters, Stephanie, Olive (Pat) and Anna (John); brother, Alex (Ellen); sisters-in-law, Mitzi and Eleanor; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Donald was predeceased by his sister, Madeline and brothers, Walter and Michael.
Donald was a kind person and loved the Toronto Blue Jays and watching war movies. He enjoyed taking his two cats for morning walks every day. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Memorial graveside service to celebrate the life of Donald W. Worobel will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 1 p.m. in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney, with Fr. Roman Dusanowsky officiating.
Donations in memory of Donald may be made to the Burn Camp for Kids or Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
