Ann Elizabeth (Betty) Ogilvie

Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander after a brief illness on Wednesday, March 21st, 2018 at the age of 89.
Predeceased by her parents Edward (Ned) and Susanna Tilley, husband Harold Sinclair Ogilvie, grandson Mark Price, sister Madeline Doyle, brother Michael Tilley and step-mother Agatha (Tilley) Crotty. Left to mourn with loving memories are her daughters Ann Clair (Ivan) Russell, Lisa Ogilvie (David Vandergrift), son Scott (Barbara Simms), sisters Margaret (Richard) Brown and Bernadette Dawe, brothers John (Nora) Tilley, Joseph (Mary) Tilley and Tony (Mary) Tilley, grandchildren Sara Russell (Dave Olsen), Erin (Charles) Wyman, Megan Russell (Darryl Buhler), Nora Russell, Laura Price and Matthew (Tiffany) Price and 3 great-grandchildren who will miss their “Bad Betty”- Ava Clair, Emmett, and Hazelle Ann Wyman. Also leaving to mourn cousins, nieces and nephews, especially Mary Perry, Patricia Skowronski, and special friends Agnes Joy, Freda Barker, Joan Goodyear, Rita Tompkins, Mildred Cochrane, Rosie Reynolds, and “Hogan”. Betty's 4 legged backwarmer “Bryce” will miss her. Funeral Mass took place Monday, March 26th from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church. Internment followed at Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery. Mom was a long time resident of Gander, arriving in 1949. She was a communication teletype operator with Gander Air Radio (Signals) and Canadian Marconi in Montreal. She met the love of her life at Gander Airport, married in 1958 and settled in Gander to raise her family. She was loved and will be missed by many.
Mom you have given us “Thousands of happy memories sprinkled by millions of tears”. Rest in peace with Dad, till we meet again.
