The death occurred on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Clinton View Lodge, Clinton, of Frank Joseph Gallant, formerly of Summerside, aged 85, veteran of the Korean War. Born in Brae on January 21, 1933, son of the late Phillip and Cyrienne Gallant. Loving father to Paula (Gary) DesRoches, Summerside and Luke (Anna Ji), Medicine Hat, AB. Dear grandfather to Laura Chiasson (Chris Richard), Charlottetown; Robin Cormier, Summerside; Cole Gallant, Summerside, Ben Jelley, Summerside, Joel Stright and Dustin Stright, both of B.C. and several great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Daughter Bev Jelley, granddaughter Lily Angel Gallant, sister Helen Blanchard, Brothers Leo, Sylvere, Joe, Fred and four brothers in infancy. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and Monday until 10 a.m., then to Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Brae for funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. Comrades of The Royal Canadian Legion, O’Leary will hold a service for their late comrade at the Funeral Home on Sunday at 4 p.m. In memory of Frank, memorials to the Humane Society would be appreciated.
