Hilda Harrietha
June 8, 1925 – June 6, 2018

We, the family of the late Hilda Harrietha, would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all our family, friends and neighbours for all the support and kindness shown to us during the recent loss of our Mom. Thank you to all those who visited and brought food to our homes, sent condolences via telephone, text message and e-mail. To those who travelled both near and far to be with us, and everyone who attended the wake and funeral, sent enrollments, mass cards and sympathy cards, made charitable donations in Mom’s memory and sent flower arrangements, your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. Thank you to Fr. Peter McLeod for the lovely service, you captured the essence of Mom as she lived her life. We appreciate the readers, Mom’s niece Rose Marsh and granddaughter Amanda Timmons, the altar servers, Eucharistic Ministers, and gift bearers Kevin and Helen Beaton. Thank you to the combined choir of St. Joseph and St. Anne for the beautiful hymns, with special thank you to Bobby Anthony for his rendition of “On Eagles Wings”. Thanks also to the CWL for the lovely luncheon provided following the funeral. A heartfelt thank you to the pallbearers Kevin Beaton, Shawn Reashore, Wayne Reashore, Joe Lavery, Ches Osmond and Ashley Timmons. Thank you to mom’s sister Mildred MacLean and niece Rose Marsh for all your visits to our home, gifts of food and for being with us every step of the way during this difficult time, it is greatly appreciated. Thank you also to mom’s brother Reg Thurbide for bringing Holy Communion to Mom at home over the years. It was so nice to see you at the wake and funeral. A special thank you to Dr. Doug Kohlsmith for providing excellent, attentive care to mom over the years.
Thank you to the staff at W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, your professional care and kindness will always be appreciated. A very special thank you is extended to our sister Zita, who devoted her life to mom with ongoing compassion and love. You were mom’s angel on earth, her true source of strength and comfort, putting her needs before your own. Thanks to your care and our brother Phonse’s help, mom was able to stay in her own home, where she was the most comfortable.

Thank you and God Bless!
Rest in peace Mom, you have earned your wings.

The Harrietha Family
