Douglas Francis McQuaid passed peacefully, at the age of 55, surrounded by his loving family on June 23, 2018 at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside. Douglas was born September 15, 1962 to the late Maurice and Alice (Toole) McQuaid of Miscouche. He is predeceased by his eldest brother Charles (Yvonne). Douglas is survived by his loving wife Claudette (Gallant) and his daughter Melanie. His sisters Brita Thibideau (Sonny), Margaret Desroche, Raphael (Marge), Cheryl (Judy), Maureen Belanger (Robert), Brenda Jeffrey. He had numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He will also be missed by his mother-in-law Rosie Gallant, and brothers and sisters in law. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home in Urbainville from where visitation and liturgy will be held on June 26, from 2 to 4 p.m. for family and close friends only with funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 4 p.m. Interment will take place in the St. John Baptist Church Cemetery, Miscouche.
