Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital at 87 years. Predeceased by her husband Clarence Ralph, great-granddaughter Annabelle Barbour, parents Jordan and Hester Blackwood, sister Minnie and husband Harry Barbour, brothers: Ben and wife Margaret Blackwood, Bert and wife Marie Blackwood and Edward Blackwood, parents-in-law William and Emma Barbour, brothers-in-law: Dave Wareham and Eric Larkin. Leaving to mourn her loving children: Judy (Dave) Bonnell, Derek (Doreen) Barbour, Marie (Paul) Stead, and Lynette (Chuck) Clarke; grandchildren: Catherine (Richard), Karen (Karl), Jordan (Theo), Mark (Allison), Todd (Stacey), Neil, Megan (Adam), Kyle (Megan) and Alyssa; great-grandchildren Nathan, Aidan, Sophie, Brooke, Kaia, Avery, Claire, Romy and Marlowe; sister Shirley (George) Gates, brother Cecil (Mary Lou) Blackwood, sisters-in-law: Elsie Larkin, Phyllis Wareham, Nancy (Barry) Yetman and Elise Blackwood. Visitations will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton avenue on Tuesday, June 26th and Wednesday, June 27th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 3rd at 2 pm, inurnment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. No flowers by request, donation in her memory may be made to the United Church Chaplaincy, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.
