Beautiful, beloved daughter of Carole Gibbons and long term partner to Glen White. Leaving with many beautiful memories beside Glen and Carole are Carole’s partner Eric Connolly; her uncle Ian Penney (Maureen Barry) and family; aunt Rosemary Penney and family; Glen’s mother Gertrude White; sisters: Sandra (Gerry) Lawlor, Norma (Gavin) Earle and brothers: Terry, Dennis (Kim Whittle) and Bruce (Lisa). Predeceased by her grandparents: Fred and Ruby Penney; uncle Derek and Glen’s father Harold White. Janice was a long time employee with NL Housing Corp., having retired less than two years ago. Since her retirement she has been volunteering with the SPCA Thrift Store and The Gathering Place. Janice was a kind and gentle soul who was loved by all whom she met. There will be a celebration of Janice’s life on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, Reception Centre. Please join the family for refreshments. Anyone who wishes to share a story, say a few words, are more than welcome to do so. Donation’s may be made in Janice’s memory to the SPCA or the Gathering Place.
