Eileen Joan Crane
It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Eileen Crane, on Friday, June 29,2018, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney after a short battle of cancer, with her family by her side.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late John and Violet (Richards) MacLean. Eileen was an avid bingo player, she loved the game. Eileen enjoyed spending time with all the friends that she met there. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and she will be deeply missed. Eileen is survived by her loving children, Gerald Crane (Sheri Grant), Glace Bay, Kelly Crane, Sydney, Pam Crane (Brent Rafuse), Ontario; her wonderful grandchildren, Travis Crane, Roger Crane, Paige and Robyn Rafuse; her sister, Eleanor Somerton, Glace Bay, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Albert Crane; brothers, Arthur, Leonard, Robert and Roy MacLean. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Eileen will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery, 115 Highland St., Glace Bay with Rev. Brenda Drake officiating. Refreshments to follow at 18 Norwood St., Glace Bay. Memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care or the An Cala Unit, CBRH.
