LeBLANC, Verna Florence – age 74, Yarmouth, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born May 3, 1943 in Springhaven, Yarmouth Co., she was a daughter of the late Adolphe and Annie Rose (Muise) Muise. Verna was a homemaker, having worked at Bonda Textiles and as a fish processor in her younger years. She is survived by her only child, a son, Marcel LeBlanc; granddaughters, Ashley and Elise LeBlanc; grandson, Nichlas LeBlanc; great grandchildren, Jacob, Madelyn, Taylor, Jordan, Aubree, Allie and Olivia. Also surviving is a brother, Stanley, Springhaven; sisters, Emilda, Quinan; Doris and Linda, both of Yarmouth, as well as by several nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Clayton and Gerald Muise. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday with prayers at 8 p.m. at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral Mass was held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 10 at St. Ambrose Co-Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father Henry Smolenaars officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Donations in memory of Verna may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
