Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family on July 8, 2018, Roy J. Trickett, age 68, formerly of Spout Cove and Small Point, CBN. Retired Driver Examiner, Service NL. Predeceased by his daughter Katrina and his parents Phyllis and Hubert. Leaving to mourn his beloved soulmate of 16 years Sharon Williams; his daughters Simone (Tim Connors) and Ramona (Gary Penney); their mother Brenda Trickett; his wonderful grandchildren Nigel, Eve and Keely Connors and Jake Roy Fleming; his brothers Winston (Joan, deceased), Carbonear and Byron, Kingston, ON; members of the Rose, Connors, Williams and Power families and many nieces, nephews and friends. Special friends, Herb Flight, Kevin Rose, Junior O’Leary and Wayne St. Croix and Larry Penney. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant. Visitation on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 2 p.m. from St. James United Church. Cremation to follow. A private inurnment will be held for Roy in Broad Cove, NL at a later date. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nursing staff and respiratory therapists (ICU and 4SB) of the HSC for their wonderful care of Roy during this difficult time; as well as Maureen, Darlene and Robert for the care, love and laughter they have provided over the years. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted for Healthcare Foundation in support of the Respiratory Therapy Department at HSC.
