It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lloyd G. Tucker on June 14, 2018 at Sussex Health Centre, NB.
Born in Glace Bay, NS on December 5, 1938, he was the son of the late George and May (Willett) Tucker.
Lloyd was retired from Real Star Management. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 12, Sydney, NS until 2013 when he transferred to Branch 41, Petitcodiac, NB.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Lorna (Matthews) Tucker; sons, Timothy, Derrick and David (Laurel) Tucker, all of NS; grandchildren, Courtney, Brittany, Colin, Matthew, Jonathan and Isabell; stepson, Kevin Evans; stepdaughter, Judy Evans and her son, Cole (Kayla) and Cole’s daughter, Jerica.
He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Georgina (Rev. Gordon) Granchelli, Sydney, NS, Thelma (Clarence) Peach, Kemptville, ON and brother, Cecil, Hamilton, ON; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lloyd shared his life with many through his music (singing and playing guitar) and serving as a Lay Reader in the Anglican Church for over 50 years. He served in the Diocese of Nova Scotia, Ontario and up to the time of his death in the Diocese of Fredericton, NB.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Terrence.
Funeral service was previously held on June 22, 2018 at St. Andrews Anglican Church, Petitcodiac, NB.
A service of Celebration and Thanksgiving of the Life of Lloyd Tucker will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, Sydney Mines, NS on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Stacey LeMoine and Rev. Gordon Granchelli officiating. Reception to follow the service in Grandy Hall. All are welcome.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Anglican Church, St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Glace Bay or charity of choice.
