Lillian Phyllis Cadwell

Born: May 26th, 1931

Passed on: July 16th, 2018

It is with broken hearts that we say farewell to our sweet, kind hearted, gentle mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister, Lillian P. Cadwell (nee Barnes), who passed away on July 16, 2018 at the Health Sciences Centre after a brief illness which shows her strength and bravery. Predeceased by her husband Edward; son James; daughter Debbie; sisters: Maude, Isabelle, Elsie and Enid. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories five sons: Harry (Anne) Gloria, David (Carol), Shawn (Margie), Wayne, Gary; four daughters: Diane (Wayne), Bev (Tony), Michelle (Mike), Judy; brother Edward (Uni); sisters: Margaret, Jeanie (Tim), Marion (Ken), Eileen (Rob); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Mom enjoyed surrounding herself with people but especially looked forward to her special “lunch dates” with her sister Marion. She also had a deep love and affection for the country, and all of God’s furry and feathered friends. She always made sure they were well fed and taken care of during her many trips to her cabin. Mom was the sweetest, kindest, most gentle soul you could find. She always put the well-being of others ahead of herself. We were blessed with one of God’s best Mothers and our lives are forever enriched by the wonderful memories that we will hold in our hearts forever. The family would like to express special thanks to her private nurse Susan Condon and the staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their compassion and care during this difficult time. As well as a thank you to Rev. Ed Keeping. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Wednesday July 18, 2018 from 3:30-5 & 7-9pm and Thursday, July 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service to take place at the Anglican Cathedral of St. Johns the Baptist at 2 pm on Friday, July, 20th. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. To leave a message of condolence please visit www.barretts.ca.
