Passed away peacefully at the Neurological Institute in Montreal in her 98th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Donald, two sisters, Marion (late Art) and Thelma (Malcolm) and brother, Sydney (late Lillian). She will be lovingly remembered by her children Heather (Sam), Geoffrey (Alice), Stephen (Nickie), and Daphne (Rob) as well as her many nieces and nephews, godchildren, seven grandchildren and a wide circle of dear friends. A graduate of Sir George Williams University, she was also active in the community as a Guide Leader, School Commissioner, Board member for the Fulford Residence, Chair of the Joint Board of Theological Colleges, and member of the Advisory Committee for the Quebec Association of Children with Learning Difficulties. She was Past President of the Lakeshore University Women's Club, long-time member of the Church of St. Columba by the Lake and supporter of the Lakeshore Unitarian Church. An avid tennis and bridge player in Valois, she also loved to spend time swimming and canoeing with her family at her cottage on Lake Barron and enjoyed many memorable visits with her in-laws in Sackville, N.B. Many thanks to her family physician, Dr. Dollois for her exceptional care over the years. To the staff at The Wellesley and more recently at The Sunrise in Beaconsfield we extend our heartfelt thanks for their attentive and compassionate care. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday August 3rd at the Lakeshore Unitarian Universalist Congregation Church, 5065 Sherbrooke St., Lachine, QC H8T 1H9. Private family burial at Mt. Royal Cemetery in Montreal and Four Corners Burial Ground in Sackville, N.B. at a future date.
