Mrs. Emmie L. Mercer of Upper Island Cove passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. Mrs. Mercer was 91 years old. She leaves to mourn her loving family: children: Sybil (Howard) Smith, Joan (Wallace) Butler, Max (Peggy) Mercer, Jean (Eric) May, Marina Mercer (Derrick) & Rod (Wendy) Mercer; grandchildren: Paul (Shelley), Robert (Heather), Paula (Shawn), Gina (James), Andrew (Rachel), David (Jamie), Peter (Jessica), Daniel (Danielle), Sarah (Marc), Adam (Stacey), Erin (Justin), Erika (David), Emily, Julia & Emma; great-grandchildren: Hannah, Daniel, Adam, Ryan, Rachel, Grace, Georgia, Felix, Claire, Charlie, Theo, Max, Nicola, Sascha, Luc, Leah, Joel, Elyse & Gabriel; sister-in-Law: Mary Bishop, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, family & friends. Predeceased by: husband Thomas Mercer (of William);
parents: Lorenzo & Laura Bishop; siblings: Albert, Jessie (Max) Osborne, Dorcas (Graham) Mercer, Martha (Augustus) Barrett, Hebert (Louise) Bishop, Esau Bishop & Ernest (Stella) Bishop. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at SLADE’S FUNERL HOME, CRANES ROAD, UPPER ISLAND COVE, on Thursday: 10:30 A.M. – 9 P.M. & Friday: 10:30 A.M.-1:15 P.M.
