Peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, on Saturday, July 21, 2018, the death occurred of Gilbert Joseph Doucette, of Charlottetown. Beloved husband of Helen Doucette (nee Ling) and loving father of Leo Doucette. Cherished grandfather of Katelynn, Natasha and Emily; and Great-Granddaughters - Seirra and Sophie. Gilbert will be missed by brother - Wilbert Doucette (Theresa); sisters - Julia Bernard (Clifford), Florence (Nan) Pitre (Alvin) and Deborah Gaudet (John). He was predeceased by parents - Leo and Loretta Doucette (nee Richard); sister - Thelma; and brothers - Wilbert, James, Aubrey and Hector. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at St. Pius X Church, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Provincial Palliative Care would be appreciated.
