Adeline Marie (nee Arsenault) Shepherd

Many heart wishes and prayers were answered in the early morning hours of July 22-2018, when Adeline Marie Shepherd nee: Arsenault passed quietly and peacefully into eternal life. Adeline in her 91st year, formerly of Southport/Stratford, P.E.I. had been a resident since 2015 of the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home, where she experienced wonderful care from her elder-care family. She is the treasured mother of surviving children, Ed (Diane), Gary, Theresa Butt (Paul) and Donnie all of Calgary Alberta, Joanne Malone (Dan ) of Stratford, P.E.I., Etta Reid (Charlie) of Suffolk, P.E.I., and daughter in law Patricia (Pat) Shepherd, special Granny to 12, Elisa, Michael, Nicole, Brad, Alyson, Dan, Matt, Kenny, Keith, Nikki, Jamie, Brady and Great Granny to 21, AJ, Brett, Cade, Dayton &Erik, Mikayla, Joshua & Sophie, Ryan, Adam & Alex, Attasha, Emily, Kaylee, Grace, Ethan, Christian &Taylor, Jayce, Mya, & Emerson. Of her 13 Arsenault siblings, she is survived by 2 sisters, Theresa Costello (Norbert deceased) of Rustico, P.E.I. and Anne Marie Gauthier (Richard) of Miscouche, P.E.I., 2 brothers, Gerard Arsenault Ontario, Stanley Arsenault, N.B. and adopted brother Francis who resides with brother in law Joey MacIntyre in Miscouche, P.E.I. Surviving members of her Shepherd family include, Mary Waye, Helen Demeres, Lloyd Shepherd, Earle (Carol) Shepherd, Bonnie Bain and numerous extended family members. Adeline was predeceased in life by her parents, Florin and Marie Anne Arsenault of Egmont Bay, P.E.I., her husband James Edward (Eddie) Shepherd, adult son Carl Francis and precious infant children Desmond John and Noella Clare as well as 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home for visitation on Thursday, July 26th from 4 to 7 p.m. Members of the Catholic Women’s League will hold a prayer service at the funeral home on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. A celebration of life funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 27th at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Stratford, P.E.I. at 11 a.m., with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
