Frank Doyle

Born: December 27th, 1932

Passed on: July 23rd, 2018

Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on Monday, July 23, 2018, George Francis (Frank) Dolye of Middle Arm, Avondale in his 85th year. Predeceased by his parents: Jack Block and Bride Doyle (nee Curran). Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years Helene (nee
Philpott), children: Brian, Lloyd (Anne), Sharon (Joe), Harold (Terri), Rhonda (Ezra), Diana (Damian), Barry (Karen), Lisa, Nina (Steve), Susan (Mark), 20 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and the extended Doyle, Philpott and Curran families. Frank was a long time employee of The Canadian National Railway. He had a quiet demeanor and handled all aspects of his life with respect and grace. The friendships he developed through his working career always remained strong and carried forward into his personal life. A friend to all, and admired by many. Frank wore many hats: former Mayor of Avondale, Grand Knight - Knights of Columbus 6001, President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 64, Crime Prevention and Dare Program in conjunction with the RCMP, as well as numerous church, education and community organizations. He devoted many hours to fund-raising and to the enrichment of his community. He received the prestigious Queen Jubilee Medal for his many years of
dedicated volunteer service. Frank’s main devotion was to his family. He was quick with a joke, an amazing dance partner and boy could he tell a story. He was a humble man who looked for good in people, always. Even though his family table had many, it was never seen as full and there was always room for more. He will be forever remembered as a true inspiration and father figure. Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood with visitation on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-9 pm and Friday from 12-1 pm. Funeral will take place on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 2 pm from Assumption Church, Avondale. Please visit www.dunphys.ca to leave a message of condolence or to sign the memorial guest book.
