Passed peacefully away on July 24th in the presence of her family, Mary Ward (Ryan), age 89, after a short illness at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital.
Predeceased by her husband, John (Jack) 1995, and son, Gerard, 2000, brothers Anthony, Peter and Greg Ryan, and sister Dorothy Hickey. She leaves to mourn her sons; Bill (Judy), Mel (Sis), Chris (Denise), Glynn (Pam), and her daughters; Annette Barron (Jerome), with whom she resided, Cynthia, Cathy Farr (John) and Jackie Bailey (Dave), 25 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and their families. Her sisters; Kay Houlihan (Jim), and Blanche Dray (Joe), brother Martin Ryan (Cecilia), sisters-in-law Beth Ryan, Sue James, Martha Ward, Edna Ward, and Betty Flynn. Also a large number of nieces, nephews and extended family. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Thursday, July 26 from 2 pm - 9 pm and on Friday, July 27 from 10 am – 9 pm. Funeral Mass to take place from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 9:30 am. Flowers greatly accepted, or donations can be made in her name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the charity of one’s choice.
