The family of the late Stelburne (Stel) Gillan, wish to express our heartfelt thanks to relatives, friends, neighbors, church family, and coworkers for their outpouring of sympathy and support during our recent loss. We thank you for expressions of condolence received via cards, e-mails, phone calls, visits to the hospital and to our home. Thanks to those who attended the memorial service and reception, especially those who travelled great distances. To those who provided food, flowers, and memorial donations, we are sincerely appreciative.
Thanks to Rev. Brian Barron for his prayers and support and for the wonderful tribute and message of hope given at the memorial service. Special thanks to organist Kathy Audoux, the choir, and Adrian White for their music and to the Ladies Guild of Clyde Avenue Baptist Church for hosting the reception. A special thanks to the four grandsons who served as pallbearers and to David for his touching eulogy.
Our sincere appreciation for the excellent care and sensitivity shown by Dr. McKeough, Louise McKeough, Dr. Knott, Dr. Poulos and the Palliative Care team, Hospice volunteers, EHS, medical staff at CB Regional Hospital and the Northside General Hospital (4 West) during our Dad’s final days. We are very grateful for the services provided by the staff of Capital Drugs, VON, OT, PT, and home care providers, making it possible for Dad to stay at home for many years.
The professionalism and compassion provided by the staff of J.M. Jobes Funeral Home meant so much to the family during this difficult time.
