The death occurred peacefully, with loved ones by his side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Saturday, July 28, 2018, of Andrew Turner, formerly of North Rustico and Hope River, born January 30th, 1924, aged 94. Andy was the son of the late Edward and Annie Turner (Doyle). He is survived by his sister, Gertrude Mulligan; sister-in-law, Helen Turner; stepchildren, Elizabeth Litousky (Wally), Linda Richards, Janet Ward, Andrew Gauthier (Ellen), Carolyn Bennett, Margaret Goulding (Al), Ian Gauthier (Pam Mullally), Marilyn Gallant (Earl); and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Andy was predeceased by his wife Ada (Gauthier/Gallant) and fiancé, Mary McKenna; brothers and sisters, Eleanor Doucette (Lollie), Tom, Mary Noonan (Lorne), Frances Gaudet (Frank), Joan Howe, Jim, Rosa Reid (DB), and Mona Turner; brother-in-law, Harold Mulligan; and stepson-in-law, Harold Bennett. Andy’s passing is deeply felt by all those whose lives he touched, including his many friends, especially by Alyssa Gauthier (Gavin Warren) and Daniel Gauthier (Jillian Paynter). Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation Wednesday, August 1, 2018, from 6 - 9 p.m. The Knights of Columbus will hold a prayer service prior to the visitation at 5:30 p.m. Funeral will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Hope River, on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
