Ingrid will be remembered as a loving wife of Jason Russell and mother of three beautiful children Gretchen (15), Preston (12) and David (4). Ingrid also leaves to mourn her loving family parents: Josephine Smallwood and Doug Harvey; sisters: Natasha (Jason) Elsworth and Tonja (Chris) Crosby; nieces and nephews: Brijit, Arianna, Zac, Tatiana, Dylan, Kelsey, Zachary, Josh, Brooklyn, Madison and Jada; parents-in-law: Carol and David Russell; sisters and brother-in-law: Christine Russell, Lisa (Dean) Bradbury and Craig Russell; as well as large circle of loved family and friends. Ingrid was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and grew up on Roaches Line, NL while attending school at Coley’s Point, Bay Roberts and Kings Edgehill in NS. Ingrid graduated from Ascension Collegiate High School and continued her education obtaining a Bachelor of Education degree at Dalhousie University as well as a Masters of Education degree from Memorial University. Ingrid taught at multiple schools and was extremely passionate about her work with students. Ingrid shared with others the legacy and love of education and literature. Ingrid, along with Jason, had a steadfast love for raising their family in a community surrounded by relationships. What brought Ingrid great joy included spending time with her family, reading, long walks in nature and drinking a coffee while laughing with loved ones. Ingrid was a light in this world, ethereal in spirit, a kind and gentle soul, a dear and caring friend and an absolute joy to all who knew her. Ingrid will be eternally missed. Her Celebration of Life will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church & Cemetery, Coley’s Point. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at SLADE’S FUNERAL HOME, L.T. STICK DRIVE, BAY ROBERTS, on Tuesday from 7-9 P.M., and Wednesday from 10:30 A.M. - 11:30 A.M.
