It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Helen Marie Baker, aged 71 years, at Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia on August 1st 2018. Predeceased by her parents Frances and Edward Baker and siblings Margaret, Donna, Alf, Doug, Frank and Geraldine. Left to mourn her children: daughter Louise (Jeremy), daughter Marina (Ivan), son Bill and son Gordon (Kathy); grandchildren: Jason (Wendy), Justin, Meighen (Kenneth), Caitlin, Nicolas, Lawren (Neil), Jeremy (Amanda) and Cameron; great-grandchildren: Payton and Reagan; siblings: Shirley, Beth, Mildred, Jim, Mercedes and Barb; as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and family and her very close friend Rose. A special thank you for the care and compassion provided for our mother at Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital. The family will be accepting visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home on Monday, August 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, August 7 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery Blackmarsh Road.
