Thelma (Lawson) Neville

Surrounded by her loving family Thelma Neville (born August 9, 1923, Blyth England) died peacefully at home August 5, 2018. Thelma was the daughter of the late Francis (Lawson) and John Moffatt.
A bombing raid over southern England changed the direction of Mom's life. In an air raid shelter, she met the love of her life, Charles Patrick Neville. They were married in England prior to relocating to Canada, following the war. Mom was a caring, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Family meant everything to Mom. She was full of kindness, always putting us first. Throughout her life, she watched over her children and their families. As she would tell us “I love you but remember to love yourself too. You are worth it". She was dearly loved, respected and appreciated by family and friends. Mom’s adventurous spirit enabled her to get her driver’s license on her 80th birthday. She enjoyed travel, especially when visiting family across Canada and England.
In her later years, she took great pleasure enjoying cruises with by her daughters, the last at the age of 92. Mom was a long-time member of Holy Redeemer Parish. She took great comfort in attending the services throughout the years and could always be found sitting in her favorite pew. She was predeceased by her husband, Abbie; son, Kelly Kennedy and grandson, John Christopher. Mom is survived by sons, Barry (Pat), Ron (Barb), Keith (Debbie); daughters, Denise (Ed Netzlaff), Stella (Joe Campbell), Pam (John Oliver) and Patricia (Charles Desveaux).
