It is with profound sadness and deep regret we wish to announce that David Nelson Saunders has passed away at the age of 56 years. Predeceased by sister Deborah, 2016, father-in-law Ellis Bishop, 2014, grandparents Hazel & Charlie Saunders, William & Mary Noseworthy and Clarice Morgan (mom Morgan), uncles David Saunders, Charles Noseworthy, Eric Noseworthy, aunt Hilda Smith (Noseworthy). Leaving to mourn deeply his loving wife of 30 years, Helen (nee Bishop), as well as his parents Jessie & Kevin Saunders, mother-in-law Doris Bishop (who he affectionately called “mommy”), brother Keith (Louise), sister Sherri-Lynn, sister-in-law Faye Pottle (Ray), brother-in-law Gord Bishop (Sherry), uncles Roy Saunders (Jeanette), Doug Saunders (Grace), dear aunt Viola, nieces, nephews and families, Edward Pottle (Lori), Vanessa Hiscock (Adam), Rayna Pottle, John Charles Baldwin (Kerilyn), Jeffrey Bishop (Deanne). Also feeling deep loss are his cousins and friends, as well his many co-workers at Triware Technologies Inc & Nalcor with whom he thoroughly enjoyed working. Dave was a kind and deeply compassionate person, please honour his memory by sending your kindness to each other. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in David’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Thursday from 2 pm – 4 pm & 7 pm – 9 pm, Friday from 3 pm – 7 pm. Funeral service will take place from Hope Pentecostal Church, Garden Road, Seal Cove on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 2 pm. Interment in St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Upper Gullies.
