It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Barbara Adele MacDonald, on August 13, 2018 at the Glace Bay Hospital with loving family at her side.
Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Adele McDonald.
Barbara was employed as a Secretary for Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. She was a member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church Choir, Bible study group and Secretary(FSNA) and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Glace Bay Hospital.
Barbara is survived by sons, Ronald Nelson, Robert Bruce (Marie), Scott Andrew (Judy); grandchildren, Sarah, Kyle, Axel, Lea and Kenzie; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Josie; sister, Corinne Ann.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by husband, Nelson; granddaughter, Lori and brother, Robert.
Visitation for Barbara will be held on Sunday Aug. 19, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home 71 Union St., Glace Bay.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday Aug 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. in St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church Brookside St., Glace Bay.
