It is with profound sorrow that we the children of Anne Grace (Hussey) Webber announce her passing at the age of 102 on August 16, 2018, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Anne was born, May 20, 1916 to Christopher and Flora Belle (Roberts) Hussey, in North Ingonish, CB. She was one of 10 children and the last surviving member.
She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Anne was greatly loved by her family who meant everything to her.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Newton (2004). Also, by her sisters, Etta and Evelyn; brothers, George, Charles, Ben, Herb, Harry, Jack and Rollie; daughter-in-law, Barbara; sister-in-law, Helen; brother-in-law, Bud; and a niece and nephews.
Anne is survived by her children, Kendall (late Barb), Marion Bridge, Grant (Sarah), Liverpool, NS, Paula (Albert) Carroll, Timberlea, NS, and Judi, at home. Her grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart, Jonathon, Mary, Christian, Elizabeth, Russell and Rebecca. Her son of the heart, Brian (Cecelia) Cooke; and many nieces and nephews.
Anne was a member of Church of Christ the King Anglican Church and an adherent of Bethel Presbyterian Church.
Visitation will take place Tuesday from 1- 2 p.m. in Sydney Memorial Chapel with a funeral service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Peter Rafuse officiating. Newton and Anne will be interred together in Hardwood Hill Cemetery, as was their wish.
Memorials may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation, in Anne’s memory.
