Anna Marie Dobbin

It is with great sorrow we announce that our beloved Anna Marie Dobbin (nee Linehan) passed away on August 21, 2018 at the age of 73 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents: Anastasia (Wade) and William Linehan, her brothers: Edward (Mary Lou), Fergus, William, Fred, James, Denis, her sisters: Isabelle (Bill Inglis), Loretta (Sidney Sawyer, Harold Mason), Katherine (Alex Dinn) and two infant siblings. She leaves to mourn with broken hearts her husband of 51 years, Joseph, her children: Joann (Sam), Sean (Brittany) and Rose Marie (Chris), grandchildren: Kayla, Samantha, Rebecca and Sarah, great-grandson Wesley, sister Margaret (Thomas Ryan d.), sisters-in-law Marie and Mary (John Hickey), nieces and nephews: Fred, Peter, Neil, Billy, Kenny, Allison, Billy, Harold, Wayne, Michelle, Alex, James, Glenn, Yvonne, Fergus, Colleen, Marilyn, Karen, Sharon, Tom, Denise, Joe, Denis, Lisa, Keith, Todd and Craig, plus many cousins of the Linehan and Wade families, god children, former students and innumerable friends, especially Mary Tremblett, Betty Power, Bill McDonald, Augusta Gough, Karen Hanlon, Derrick Walsh and all members of the Singleton and Daley families. Special thanks to Dr. Paul Walsh for his years of care, to Dr. Elizabeth Bautista, Ruth Wells and the team who helped Anna in her final days as well as the staff of Carmelite House, to all the nurses and doctors of HSC and CNRHC for their tender care on her admissions, to Fathers Steve, Hosea, Jerome, Ken and Monsignor Dennis for your friendship and example of God’s loving kindness and to all those who brought food, sent cards, called and said prayers throughout Anna’s illness. Visitation will take place at Father Enright Memorial Chapel, St. Joseph’s on Thursday, from 4 pm - 9 pm and Friday, from 1 pm - 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place from St. Joseph’s Church on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10 am. Flowers greatly accepted or memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Parish, St, Joseph’s. Anna’s steadfast faith in God and her dedication to church and community life has been an example to us all. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood.
