Elsie Huestis
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Elsie Huestis of Charlottetown, P.E. Her death occurred at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Friday, August 24, 2018. She was born November 6th, 1937 in Cable Head, P.E. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles R. Huestis and loving mother of William “Bill” Huestis and Shelly (Fred) McKim. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, William “Will” Huestis (Lola Burke), Kaitlin Delaney (Chris Barrett), Melissa Delaney (Nick LeClair, and Allan Marshall; very special great-grandson Charles “Charlie” Barrett; special nieces: Linda (Philip) Cox, Marlene (Mike) Gaudet, Debbie Kays, Sonya (Paul) Doiron, Sandra (Rob) Wickstrom; sister-in-law of Madlyn MacLaren, Shirlie (Jacob) Koke, Beverly Myers, Shelly(Roy) Appleton, and Evelyn Huestis. Her best friend, Beverly Burke for 49 years. Predeceased by her parents William and Annie (nee Porter) MacLaren; her siblings: Olga Hayden, Stewart MacLaren, Hazel (Nick) Kays; in-laws; Roy and Victoria Huestis, Keith Huestis and Marg (Victor) Livingston. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the funeral will be held on Monday, at 10 a.m. Interment in Midgell Cemetery. If so desired memorials to Midgell Cemetery, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or Provincial Palliative Care would be appreciated.
