Passed peacefully away on September 2nd at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital following a brief illness, Mabel Hoddinott, age 95. Predeceased by her husbands: Alexander "Alex" Butler (1972) and Wilfred Hoddinott (1994), parents Gordon and Carrie Ash, sisters: Amelia Moyst and Stella Burden, brothers: Jack, Gordon, Tom, Don, Albert and Joe Ash. Left with fond and loving memories her sister Grace Feltham (Herb, deceased), step-children: Janet (Eric Bugge), Bruce (Wanda) and Dave (Pamela), six step-grandchildren: Cathy (John Murray), Jennifer (Robin James), Dave (Laura), Jonathon, Danielle (Alex Chafe), Sarah (Peter Holden), one great-grandchild, many nieces, nephews and friends. As per Mabel’s request, cremation has taken place. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, September 4th from 2-7 pm. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 5th at 2 pm from Barrett’s Chapel. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.
