Shelley Casey, 48, of Glace Bay passed away Monday, May 23, 2011, at her home.
Born in Kitchener, Ont., she was the daughter of Patrick Casey and the late Rachael (Maidment) Casey.
Shelley was a member of the Salvation Army in Glace Bay.
She loved playing her guitar and entertaining her many friends at the Radio Club.
Shelley will be dearly missed by her loving family which includes, father, Patrick Casey; daughters, Taylor (Scott), Jessica (David); precious grandson, Ryder; brother, Sean Casey (Amy); beloved companion and dear friend, Harry Murphy. She will also be missed by her aunt, Judy; uncles, Bill and Barney; and grandmother, Violet Maidment.
She was predeceased by her mother, Rachael Casey.
Visitation for Shelley will take place Friday, May 27, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Funeral service to follow at the Salvation Army Citadel, Union Street, Glace Bay, on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Capt. Kristian Simms officiating. Following the funeral there will be a reception in the church basement.
