Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 8, 2018. Born on Monday, June 10, 1935 in St. John's, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Winnifred (nee Duff) Stapleton. Beside her parents Elizabeth was predeceased by her daughter Brenda Butler. Leaving to mourn with loving and precious memories are her husband Raymond; daughters Patsy (Gerard Ryan), Janet (Robert Kinsella), Juanita (Kenneth Meyers); son Alan (Margaret); grandchildren Brenda, Rick, Melissa, Natasha, Mark, Shane, Wesley, Daniel-Alan; great-grandchildren Joshua, Emma, Nathan, Charlie, Issac, Hudson, Sophie, Owen, Kaydan and brothers George (Delores), Peter (Eleanor), Art (Betty), Tom (Judy). Cremation has taken place by personal request. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, located at 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 10 am - 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Family Catholic Parish Church, located at 69 St. Thomas Line on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 10 am. In lieu of floral donations, donation to a charity of donor's choice greatly appreciated. A special note of thanks to the doctors and staff of the Health Science Centre Emergency Department and 5 North A for their exceptional empathy and compassion during our families very difficult time.
