Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on Saturday, September 15, 2018 Richard (Dick) Whelan of Holyrood. Predeceased by his parents: Joseph and Agnes Whelan, brother Joseph, sister Joan Nolan and husband Leo, and sister-in-law Mary Berry. Left with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife Jeanette of 40 years, special sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joyce and Gerard Kieley and family, sister-in-law Shirley Whelan and family and brother-in-law Ron Berry and family, and a large circle of family and friends especially his four legged canine friends. At his request, Cremation has taken place. Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, September 20th, 2018 at 10:30 am from Holy Cross Church, Holyrood with Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
