It is with great sadness but thankfulness of life that the family of the late Herbert Marsh announce his passing on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre at the age of 94 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Alvin (Valerie), Colleen (Melvin) Harnum and Wallace (Bonnie); grandchildren: Martina Marsh, Michael Marsh, Marsha (Guy) Langdon, Monica Harnum (Phillip), Myles Harnum, Melanie (Mark) Langille, Mitchell Marsh; great-grandsons: Jonah and Theo Langille, and great-granddaughters: Allison Marsh and Alexah Langdon; sisters-in-law: Joyce (Bill) Dinney, Betty (Dan) Parmiter, Shirley (Merrill) Bell; brothers-in-law: Bill (Mondella) Martin, Cec (Debbie) Martin, Roland (Marg) Martin, Walt (Joan) Martin, Enos (Wilma) Martin; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Florence (Martin) Marsh, parents: William and Elizabeth Marsh, sisters Leah (Victor) Ward and Rose (William) Rowsell; brothers Samuel and Cecil (Bertha) Marsh; parents-in-law Samuel and Jessie Martin, and Sister-in- law Ada (Tom) Rideout. Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Friday, September 28, 2018 from the hours of 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 29 at 2:30 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Deer Lake, with Majors Lorne and Ella Hiscock officiating. Interment to follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, Wight’s Road. A special thank you goes out to the staff at the Deer Lake Manor, Western Memorial Regional Hospital and the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre for their care during his stay. A very special thank you to Craig Warford of Point Leamington, NL for his heroic effort in saving our dad in 1999 giving us 19 extra years with this special man.
